Today is our last full day in Florida. Tomorrow we will be travelling back to The Netherlands. We have already packed most of our things, and left cloths for cold weather out of the luggage. Today we went out for the last shopping and then went to SeaWorld in the evening.
But before all that, we spent time at the hotel room packing and repacking. After all that packing and repacking, we went out for lunch at Panera Bread. Xandrine had her tomato soup with baguette and I had a broccoli cheddar soup with a BLT on sour dough bread. I really love Panera Bread. They have good food.
From there we went to WalMart to pick up some last items. Some packing things, like Hefty’s and bubble wrap to make sure that the bottles we will be taking with us, will survive the trip in the plane. We also looked at the orders we received from The Netherlands, but apparently the stores in Canada have other items in store than in America. We found most of the things we needed, except for the special orders.
We left WalMart for the last time this vacation and headed to the Orlando Premium Outlets to go and look for Levi’s. Unfortunately this was not such a success. Today was a busy day, but not the busiest day at the Mall, but we could not find the Levi’s we were looking for. Then we spent some more time on the mall, but did not buy much. By the time we were finished looking, we were ready to go to SeaWorld for the last time.
It was already after 6PM when we arrived at SeaWorld and spent the rest of the evening at the park. We went to the 7:15PM One Ocean show with the killer whales. We were just in time before the start of the show, and our Premium passes gave us excellent viewing again. Again a great show was being displayed. This time a few killer whales less than the last time I think. The show did not suffer much from it though.
After the One Ocean show, we went to the other theatre to see the Parody evening show of Clyde and Seamore. In the evening show of 8PM Seamore and Clyde make a parody of the shows at SeaWorld. This is very entertaining and very funny. The shows of One Ocean, Pets Ahoy and others will all be played with the use of the sea lions. It’s really a funny show and this time, the show went according plan unlike the show we saw earlier on this vacation.
Since it was not so busy in the park, this time, we decided to give the penguin ride a try. We had a 5 minute wait before we could enter Antartica. In this ride you can choose to go either on the wild ride or the mild ride. Since I wanted to take some pictures on the ride we took the mild ride. It’s a nice ride. Very well done. Glad we had the chance to do it this time. The ride starts with a short movie which tells a story of a penguin being born late. Then you go into the next room and see a few shots of an growing penguin, before you enter the ride. You sit in the ride with 8 people and ride around Antartica. After the ride, you get out of the ride and have time to check out some penguins. In there it’s freezing cold.
From there we headed back to Shamu Stadium, to see the last show of the night, the Shamu’s Celebration Lighten up the nights show. This is a very musical show with a lot of action in it. There is of course the splash again and when you are in the splash zone, you will get wet. I think that the first 10-15 rows have gotten wet this evening. We were seated higher in the Stadium on Reserved Seating and had a great view again. We enjoyed the show and Xandrine danced along with the music. The show ended with some fireworks. After the show we slowly exited the stadium and SeaWorld and drove back to our hotel room. We then spent the rest of the evening packing the rest of our luggage.
We have packed everything and are ready to go home tomorrow. Our flight is scheduled to lift of at 2PM an if all goes according to plan, we will touch ground in Amsterdam the 9th at 8:15AM.
